The SATS - APS Partnership Signing Ceremony was held in The ART (Assumption Restaurant for Training) on 19 October 2011. SATS and APS signed the Letter of Collaboration that represents a continued partnership and commitment to one another in the areas of student development and education support.
The ART Management Committee Chairman Mr Sng shared during the media interview on the benefits of such industrial collaboration and the opportunities it would bring for the students. Five students from Year 2 and Year 3 were also interviewed by reporters on how the experience at The ART has helped in their learning and training experience at APS.
A financial literacy press conference was held in Assumption Pathway School on 30 August 2010. Citi Foundation and National Institute of Education, together with Assumption Pathway School, spoke to the press on the funding of programmes to train teachers and educate students on financial education.
APS also showcased a mathematics lesson conducted by Mr Billy on the topic "Needs or Wants".
The Principal Mr Wee and HOD Mathematics were also interviewed by reporters. Six students from Year 1 and Year 2 were also interviewed by the media on how financial education in APS helps build their life-skill.
Organized by the National Institute of Education, Singapore, and funded by Citigroup, the Citi-NIE Financial Literacy Hub for Teachers held the 3rd Financial Literacy Conference in M Hotel, Singapore.
APS Mathematics Department exhibited the school programme on financial literacy infused in Mathematics curriculum.
Ms Annie Tan was also invited to do a presentation to fellow conference delegates.
She presented the research project conducted in 2009, evaluating the impact and effectiveness of Mathematics curriculum FL implementation over a span of 10 weeks.
Four APS student ambassadors were also present in the showcase to explain to delegates during the gallery walk.
We had completed organizing our first Charity Golf event on Friday 16th July 2010. The success of this event would not have been possible without the strong support of donors, sponsors and advertisers.
From such wonderful response, we have been able to surpass our target and raised more than $250,000. This money will go towards the new school building and to fitting new training facilities for the students.

In collaboration with the Citi-NIE Financial Literacy Hub for Teachers, Assumption Pathway School hosts Financial Literacy Pedagogy Workshop for West Zone educators on 29 June 2010 (Day 1) & 8 July 2010 (Day 2).
A total of 11 schools participated in this workshop. They are: Boon Lay Gardens Pri, Juying Pri, South View Pri, Yew Tee Pri, West View Pri, Teck Whye Pri, Bukit View Sec, Assumption Pathway School, Jurong West Sec, Kranji Sec and Nan Hua High.
The workshop was conducted by NIE personnel, Mrs Patricia Lee (left seated). Along side with financial literacy knowledge, this workshop also teaches engaging pedagogy to support the infusion. The focus is to empower teachers with ideas and engaging pedagogy to equip students with the relevant knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to manage money wisely.
