Temasek Cares
In 2011, Temasek Cares will be supporting APS in two key areas - the formation of a Special Needs team to support students with learning needs and the setting up of Temasek Cares Bursary for students with financial needs.
The special needs team will comprise of an Educational Psychologist, a Special Needs Officer and a Literacy Coach. This combination of personnel will build up the school's capacity especially in its screening and intervention processes.The main emphasis will be on the use of age-appropriate and ability-appropriate materials and methodologies in preparing the student with special needs for life beyond the classroom.
The Temasek Cares Bursary will go towards supporting financially needy students by providing them with free meals, transport allowance, school uniform and school stationery.
Temasek Cares CLG Ltd is an Institution of a Public Character set up in 2009 to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Temasek Holdings. The purpose and mission of Temasek Cares is to contribute to the well-being, dignity and livelihoods for underprivileged individuals, families and communities in Singapore.
