What is Assumption Pathway School?

Assumption Pathway School (APS) is a joint education initiative by Ministry of Education (MOE), Institute of Technical Education (ITE) and St Gabriel's Foundation to serve the needs of providing education to students aged 13 to 16 years old. It was started in 2009 as the second school in Singapore to cater for students who are unable to make it through the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

What is the admission criteria for APS ?

APS admits students who are unable to access mainstream secondary school education such as students who do not pass PSLE or have learning needs.

How is the curriculum like for the students ?

Students will typically undergo a 4 year programme, where in year 1 and 2 focus on Foundation education of English, Mathematics and Information and Communication Technology as well as Character education. In year 3 and 4 they will focus on Vocational education to prepare them for workforce readiness. Students who successfully complete the 4 year programme will receive an ITE skills certificate (ISC). With the ISC, students are able to further studies at ITE.

What are the operating hours of the school ?

During school term, we operate on Monday and Tuesdays 7.45 am – 2.45 pm, Wednesday 7.45 am-1.15 pm, Thursday 7.45am – 3.15 pm, Friday 7.45 am-12.15 pm
