The MDP curriculum is one platform for students to learn and internalise the values and the necessary 21st Century and Social Emotional competencies. Developed based on the foundational catholic ethos laid down by the Montfort Brothers of St Gabriel Religious Congregation founded by St Louis Marie de Montfort, it is expected that every student that passes through the doors of Assumption Pathway School would embrace the values and legacy passed down through the generations and also build on these learning to become a useful member of society.
To bring about this scaffolding, APS has developed the syllabus based on the following 3 guiding principles of
Connecting Lives – where the syllabus intentionally allow for the various stakeholders (teachers, students, parents and the community) in the educational process to connect with one another);
Nurturing Individualised Growth – where the syllabus allows for students to explore for themselves how they can grow and develop to achieve personal success; and
Flourishing Through Opportunities – where the syllabus aims to create spaces and learning opportunities to demonstrate the students’ internalisation of values and social emotional competencies.
APS students contributing to society during Values in Action (VIA) Day
